Before your visit

> The route has a lot of steps. 

> Suitcases and big rucksacks are not permitted. Little bags (smaller than hand luggages items) are allowed.

> Animals are not permitted, even in a carry bag. 

> Knives and scooters are not permitted. 

> No smoking or eating in the monument.

Individual

> Self-guided tours
With a visitors guide in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Dutch, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Korean. (length of visit: 30 minutes to 1½ hours)

> Guided tours: EVERY DAY - BOOKING NOT REQUIRED
In French and English year round ; German, Spanish and Italian (in July and August) (length of visit: 1 hour 15 minutes)
More or less frequent departures of guided tours, depending on the period. Meeting point on the western terrace of the abbey.
No additional fee on top of admission.

> Tour-lectures
Detailed discovery of the abbey during 2 hours.
Departure at fixed times on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
Up to 30 people.
No reservation possible.

2hr tour-lecture covering the prison period of the Mont-Saint-Michel and the transformation from prison to abbey.

On top of admission fee: €3 per person

> Groups (length of visit: 1 hour): €3 per person for a group of more than 20 people and tourism professionals.
Written booking required for groups (email, post).
You can pick up until 90 minutes before closing time!

Admission fee €9/person for tourism professionals and groups of 20 people and over.

Flat rate for 1 to 30 people: €400 all inclusive.

Schools

For more information, please visit the “TEACHER SPACE”

> heritage workshops – schools groups: visit/workshop lasting 2hrs30. Between September and June.
Flat rate for 1 to 35 children: €110 all inclusive (€130 as of September 2020).

Free admission for 1 accompanying person per 15 pupils.
“Adult group” rates apply for all additional accompanying persons, except for holders of the Pass Education (free admission) card or other National Education card holders (reduced rate). 
Written reservation required, as early as possible.

> Unaccompanied school group visit:€30 flat rate (€40 from September 2020) per group of 35 pupils.

Written reservation (email, post) mandatory for school groups and similar.

Teachers with a Pass Education card, classroom assistants and accompanying persons benefit from free admission within the following limits:

nursery school: 1 accompanying person per 8 pupils

primary school: 1 accompanying person per 15 pupils

secondary schools and colleges: 1 accompanying person per 15 pupils 

-Additional accompanying persons (excluding teachers, classroom assistants and 18 to 25-year-olds residents of an EU country) pay the “group” rate.

-Teachers holding a Pass Education card, duly completed and valid, all benefit from free admission.

-Teachers without a Pass Education card and not working in France, benefit from reduced rates on presentation of a certificate of practice for the current year.

We remind you that the presence of teachers is mandatory throughout the visit or workshop duration and that they are responsible for their pupils and their behaviour.
