Tickets and reservation online.

Choose a ticket for a visit in the morning or the afternoon.

09H30: ticket valid for an entry between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm.

14H00: ticket valid for an entry between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm.

You can also buy your tickets directly on the spot, at the entrance of the abbey.

Online, you can reserve a ticket for: a visit on your own, with an audio-guide or a guided tour.

NB: Time between the car parks and the abbey is about 45 minutes / 1 hour. 

You will be safe

  • Please note that facial mask is highly recommended.
  • Hydro-alcoholic gel will be at your disposal.
  • Considering the layout of the premises and the many steps, we do not recommend the use of strollers within the abbey and on the Mont.

The abbey opens every day EXCEPT on January 1st, on May 1st and on December 25th.

From Saint-Malo : exit n° 2, D 155 and D 797 or N 176 towards Pontorson, then D 976. // From Caen : exit n° 8, N 175 towards Rennes until Pontaubault, then D 43, D 75 and D 275 towards Le Mont-Saint-Michel.


The Mont-Saint-Michel is accessible 24h/24, with paying parking. Free shuttles from the parkings (by foot, it's about 45 minutes / 1h between the parkings and the entrance of the abbey). The site is hard to access for disabled people. 



Travel to the Mont with the Mont-Saint-Michel train: the Region Normandie and SNCF Intercités and TER Normandie are starting a transportation offer to reach the Mont-Saint-Michel from Paris. See the corresponding actuality.

The visit path is a one-way route 


Conditions of visit

  • Some part of the visit path has been adapted. Thank you very much for respecting the circulation path, which is indicated by the signage and the abbey agents. 
  • The abbey entrance ticket gives access to all the spaces opened to the visit, which includes the temporary exhibitions.
  • The Vigipirate Plan is in vigor. As such, security gates are installed at the entrance of the abbey. 
  • In application of the Vigipirate Plan, all access to the abbey is preceded by a visual search of the bags. 
  • You cannot enter the abbey with suitcases or big hiking backpacks. Small bags (with dimensions inferior to plane luggage) are accepted.
  • The abbey doesn't take in storage any luggage. 
  • The path of visit contains a great number of steps. 
  • Pets are not accepted, even in a transportation bag. 
  • Knives and scooters are forbidden.
  • It is forbidden to smoke or eat inside the abbey. 
  • Some exterior spaces can be closed in case of bad weather. 
  • Underage visitors must be accompagnied by an adult.
