Presentation
Treat yourself to an evening of "High Tides" from the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, exceptionally open until 10 p.m. Enjoy a moment suspended between sky and sea, from the top of this unique viewpoint that is the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. The only balcony overlooking the whole bay, the abbey is also a panoramic observatory. The bays in the cloister offer a host of views from Cancale to the Pointe de Champeaux.
For one evening, experience the combination of a poetic, aerial and acrobatic universe with a marvellous natural spectacle to be discovered from the summit of Mont-Saint-Michel!
On the programme
Five circus artists and a musician lead the audience on a stationary tour of the abbey, rediscovering its architecture and the volumes of this extraordinary place.Aerial and floor acrobatics, Chinese mat, balance, optical juggling... all these disciplines take over the site with bodies in a state of fluidity and through installations and visual and plastic devices. The musical thread runs through the performances, which are all linked by their suspended quality, as if defying the laws of gravity.
Those who haunt us, phantasmagorical presences unveil every corner of the abbey! Those Who Haunt Us is all about showing us what is sensitive. Listen to the murmurings of the stones and embark on a journey towards possible mirages...
Designed and directed by Pauline Barboux. With circus artists: Pauline Barboux: aerial acrobatics Hanno Burger or Lucie Otter: tightrope walker Nicolas Longuechaud: optical juggling and object manipulation Garazi Pascual Esnaola: wire artist Joao Paulo Santos: Chinese mast Performer and musical composer: Etienne D'Angelo
