M(y)ount wonderful christmas

Throughout December and during the Christmas holidays, the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel can be explored through the eyes of children with the "Mont merveilleux Noël à l'abbaye" décor, with a few touches of magic sprinkled in here and there...

Following on from "Fantastic Nature", "The Table of Tales", "The Abbey's White Christmas" and "A Giant's Christmas", this year the focus is on a blue, white and gold universe evoking the sea, in this year of the oceans and the anniversary of the re-establishment of the maritime character of Mont-Saint-Michel.The Refectory is adorned with the "Enchanted Table of Fishermen on Foot", the Crypt of the Great Pillars is home to the "Jellyfish Tree", and an adorable cuddly guardian is busy fishing for gifts in the Scriptorium.

It's enough to make you feel like a child again, and make you want to discover all the events on offer during the festive season as part of the first edition of "Mont et merveilles", initiated by the Etablissement public national du Mont-Saint-Michel in partnership with the Communauté d'agglomération Mont-Saint-Michel Normandie, the Centre des monuments nationaux, and the partner communes in association with Spectaculaires, which was awarded this bay-wide project.
