Treat yourself to a ‘High Tide’ evening at Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, open exceptionally in the evening!

Enjoy an exceptional moment between sky and sea from the top of this unrivalled vantage point: Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. As the only balcony overlooking the entire bay, the abbey also serves as a panoramic viewpoint. The cloister’s arched windows offer a multitude of views stretching from Cancale to the Pointe de Champeaux.

To mark this special evening, impromptu musical performances will set the tone for your night! Amidst the music and the waves, enjoy a moment suspended in time to the sound of the voices and instruments of the Trio Lugdunum, celebrating the 2026 Mediterranean Season...

On the programme

Explore the Mediterranean, the true cradle of civilisations, where history, art and music intertwine to tell fascinating stories. 

From Andalusian rhythms to Sephardic songs, via the Neapolitan tarantella and the chants of Chios, this musical journey reveals the richness and diversity of Mediterranean traditions. An invitation to discover how traditional music has inspired ‘classical’ music and shaped the identity of the peoples of the Mediterranean basin. Immerse yourself in this vibrant cultural adventure, where every note tells a piece of eternity.

The artists: a Trio within a Collective!

The Lugdunum Trio

Founded in Lyon in 2024, the trio brings together Marie Cubaynes, Xavier de Lignerolles and Antonin Vercellino, three artists from the Lyon music scene. They explore the repertoire for voice and guitar through themed programmes, creating their own arrangements to offer fresh perspectives.

Ut Musica Poesis 

This collective is a project born of a collaboration between Frédéric Albou and Xavier de Lignerolles, based on Horace’s maxim ‘Ut pictura poesis’, which invites a comparison between artistic disciplines to explore the intersection of poetic and musical constraints. Led by Albou and Lignerolles, the project focuses on vocal, polyphonic and medieval music.

Following encounters during vocal music productions, their rapport and shared high standards have led to concerts from 2024 onwards, notably at the Jaugette, Saison du Cloître and Déodat de Séverac festivals, with programmes featuring 16th-century Parisian songs, the troubadours, Monteverdi, and the *Cantigas de Santa Maria*.

In 2025, Ut Musica Poesis performed at several festivals (Royan, Berzé-le-Châtel, Moissac, Saint-Papoul), including a recording session in November 2025 with Olivier Massot. Numerous polyphonic recitals and concerts are also planned with renowned instrumentalists.
