Take part in an introductory workshop in Romanesque calligraphy at Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey, echoing a second Japanese calligraphy workshop!

Programme

Families can take a trip back in time. Visitors will be able to turn the leaves of the manuscript (facsimile) and discover Romanesque writing, its curves, its loops... In a practical workshop, they will take up ink and quill pens...

CECILIA BERNIER, head of the Pigments & Merveilles art school, will guide young and old visitors through the steps involved in writing a word or a sentence. Everyone will be able to take their work home with them!

This workshop is part of the 15th anniversary of the twinning between Mont-Saint-Michel and Miyajima.
